Volunteering With Us
All our volunteers are critical for our organisation and make it possible for us to provide our services to the local community. They give their time, skills and experience.
We currently have around 15 volunteers who come from a wide range of backgrounds – young people at university, retired people, mothers looking to get back into work etc.
Our volunteering roles are varied and include a range of different skills and duties including Reception duties, General Advisers, Digital Champions and Social Media, and Social Policy volunteers helping with research and Campaigning. We have a variety of roles to suit each individual as well as offering someone to develop into another role.
All our volunteers will receive appropriate training, full support and are supervised throughout their role at Citizens Advice. Our commitment to value diversity and promote equality means we can encourage individuals who might not otherwise volunteer.
We pride ourselves in making sure all our volunteers are not put in situations that are beyond their abilities, and work alongside them to make them feel comfortable.
